Bred by the late Norman Woolworth and driven
by Stanley Dancer, PERFECT SPIRAL came from the highly anticipated
cross between two HAMBLETONIAN winners in his
superstar dam, DUENNA (by HAMBLETONIAN
winner, GREEN SPEED), and outstanding sire, SUPER
BOWL.
Perfect Spiral began his career
with two wins in May of his two-year old season, taking his first
race by 1½ lengths and his second by a margin of 10½
lengths! He turned in amazing 28.4s final quarters in both races,
and in only his second lifetime start, he recorded a mark of 2,
2:03.2!
Unfortunately, just when the
racing world was abuzz about its newest budding star, Perfect
Spiral’s chances at racing greatness were halted due to
a career ending injury. Even though, his owner and driver had
great things to say about him as he was sent off to Pebble Creek
Farm to stand stallion in 1995;
“With his conformation,
good looks and manners, perfect gait and high speed, Perfect
Spiral could be an outstanding trotting sire.”

Hall of Fame Trainer and Driver
“I would consider
Perfect Spiral one of the most talented colts I ever ever owned.
He trained like a Champion and won his only two starts in outstanding
fashion before suffering a career ending injury to his knee.
I could not recommend a stallion as a potentially successful
sire more highly.”
